| Training Fee for 17 y/o & Younger | Training Once a Week - $200 per term Training 2 days or more a week - $320
We follow the school term. All members are required to pay the full senior training fee from January of the year in which they turn 18. A 10% discount is offered for the second and subsequent family members. If you are unable to attend for three consecutive weeks or more during the term due to injury or holidays, a discount will be applied to the following term’s fee. |

| Class Schedule for White & Yellow Belt Practitioners | White and yellow belt students who attend practice once a week are required to participate in the Wednesday class. Those who attend practice twice a week are requested to join both the Wednesday and Thursday classes. |
| Judo Victoria Membership Fee | Your child(ren) must be a fully paid-up member of Judo Victoria and registered with Taketani Judo Academy. Your Judo Victoria membership covers your insurance, registers your grading with the Judo Federation of Australia and allows your child to enter competitions. |
| Grading Fee | $50 |
| Class Allocation Based on Height | Members who are taller than 160 cm will be asked to train in the Senior Class, as it can be difficult to find appropriately sized training partners in the kids class. |
| Transition to Senior Classes | All members in the Kids Classes are required to move to the Senior Classes by January of the year they turn 15 at the latest. Upon completing the Kids Classes, those who hold a belt taht includes brown are required to attend the Tuesday and Thrusday Senior Classes. Those without brown in their belt are required to attend the Wednesday and Thursday Senior Classes. |
Trial Classes & How to Join
Senior Class Trial bookings are now open. If you are interested in joining, please read all the information carefully before completing the Trial Registration Form.Please note that Trial bookings are limited and will close once all available spots have been filled.

We have two trial days available. You are welcome to attend just one of the days, or both if you prefer.
Step 1 "Book a Trial"
Please read the "Class Info" and "Important Notes" before making a booking.
Please fill in all the required information in the form below. The booking form for trial classes will only be displayed during periods when trial bookings are open.
We will send you an email to confirm your booking.
Step 2 "Trials"
For the trial sessions, you are welcome to use a Judo Gi provided by us. Once you decide to join, you will be requred to purchase your owen Judo Gi.
If you already have a Judo or BJJ Gi, you can use it during the trial period. However, please note that only a Judo Gi is allowed to be worn after trials.
Step 3 "Joining"
If you would like to join after the trial, please contact us and continue attending classes.
We will send you an invoice by email that includes the Training Fee.
Step 4 "Payment"
Please make the payment via internet banking.
Important Notes
- If you have any symptoms of a cold or are feeling unwell, even mildly, please do not attend training.
- Please park only in TJA’s designated parking spaces or on the street. Please do not park in the neighbouring factory’s parking area.
- You can wear only a Judo Gi. BJJ Gi, Karate Gi or any other martial arts uniform is not permitted.
- Please wash your Judo Gi after each training session and keep it clean for the next class.
- Please keep your nails short at all times.
- All accessories, such as earrings, necklaces, and rings, must be removed during training.
- Only those who are training are permitted on the mat. All spectators, including young siblings, must remain off the mat at all times.
- Please wear footwear when going to the toilet. Do not go barefoot.
- If you have any bleeding from fingers or toes, it must be properly covered with tape. If blood gets on the mat, it must be cleaned immediately.
- Parents are not permitted to call or instruct members during training.
- Water breaks should be taken only when instructed by the coach.
- Mobile phones should not be used during training.
- If you feel unwell during training, please inform a coach immediately.
- The club does not provide insurance. While we prioritise safety, injuries can occur. If you require insurance, please ensure you are registered with Judo Victoria.
- All fees are non-refundable.
- Class Allocation Based on Height. Members who are taller than 160 cm will be asked to train in the Senior Class.
