| Joining Fee | $120 Joining fee comes with a set of new Judo Gi and club t-shirt.
If you already have a Judo Gi and do not require one, you will pay the Annual Membership instead of the Joining Fee. However, only a Judo Gi is permitted. Karate Gi, BJJ Gi or any other non-Judo Uniform are not allowed. |
| Annual Membership | $65 At the beginning of each year, an annual fee is payable for all students, and this includes TJA merchandise.
|
| Judo Victoria Membership Fee | Your child(ren) must be a fully paid-up member of Judo Victoria and registered with Taketani Judo Academy. Your Judo Victoria membership covers your insurance, registers your grading with the Judo Federation of Australia and allows your child to enter competitions. |
| Grading | Grading is not conducted in the Pixies Class. Grading is only conducted in the Kids Class and above. |
| Transition to Kids Class | In general, members will move to the Kids Class from the term after they turn 7 y/o. However, if we believe a child is ready to train in the Kids Class at the age of 6, we will ask whether they would like to move. The final decision will be left to the parents.
On the other hand, if we feel a child is not yet ready for the Kids Class, they may continue training in the Pixies Class even after turning 7.
Please also note that if the Kids Class is full, members will continue training in the Pixies Class until a spot becomes available. |
